Job Description
MedicalJobsAustralia.com Work autonomously within a supportive team, gaining valuable experience. Provisional psychologists and early-career practitioners welcome to apply. Flexible hours, salary packaging and extra paid leave days for wellbeing.
About Lives Lived Well: We're a growing, innovative organisation dedicated to supporting people whose lives are affected by alcohol and other drugs, mental health challenges, and gambling concerns. Our reputation for clinical excellence is expanding and we'd love you to be part of that journey.
About the Role
We're seeking a passionate Allied Health Practitioner to join our small, supportive team in Dalby or Goondiwindi. This is your chance to make a tangible impact in rural Queensland, helping people who might otherwise fall through the cracks.
We are looking for a registered Psychologist, a mental health-accredited Social Worker, or a mental health-accredited Nurse. We also welcome provisional psychologists and early-career practitioners who are working toward mental health accreditation.
We offer in-house professional supervision to support your development and help you achieve your goals. You will have flexibility to suit your lifestyle, with the option to work full-time or part-time. You'll enjoy competitive pay ranging from $100,000 – $120,000 (full-time, based on experience) plus benefits including salary packaging, a Meals and Entertainment Card, discounted retail purchases, and access to Fitness Passport.
About You
You're not just looking for a job – you want to make a difference. You bring a relevant tertiary qualification and professional registration (AHPRA or AASW), paired with a genuine passion for helping vulnerable and marginalised communities.
Skilled in assessments, evidence-based treatment planning, and risk management.
Committed to ethical, client-centred care.
Thrive in a team environment but comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule.
Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and LGBTIQ individuals is highly regarded.
A current Australian driver's licence and local knowledge of services will help you hit the ground running.
In this role, you'll deliver brief, evidence-based psychological interventions up to 10 sessions per client focused on recovery, resilience, and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
You'll work closely with individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties. Your day-to-day will include:
Delivering tailored therapy sessions for a range of mental health concerns.
Monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
Collaborating with other professionals and referring clients to additional services.
Managing clinical risk with care and professionalism.
Why Work for Lives Lived
Five additional paid leave days per year (pro rata for part-time).
Salary packaging to boost your take-home pay.
Fully serviced fleet vehicle for work-related travel.
Regular clinical supervision, case conferencing, and debriefings.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family.
