CSSD Instrument Technician and Loan Coordinator
Are you an experienced CSSD instrument technician looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a CSSD instrument technician and loan coordinator in a permanent full-time opportunity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the loaned instruments within the hospital, cleaning, inspecting, packaging, sterilizing and distributing instruments used for surgical procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating the loaned instruments within the hospital;
* Cleaning, inspecting, packaging, sterilizing and distributing instruments used for surgical procedures;
* Maintaining accurate records of instrument tracking and inventory management;
* Providing excellent customer service and communication skills to internal stakeholders and surgeons;
* Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care services;
* Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of best practice guidelines;
* Staying up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to infection control and sterilization.

The hospital features 10 operating theatres, including Cardiothoracics, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, Head and Neck, Gynaecological, Urology, Colorectal, upper GI, General, Vascular and Plastics departments.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Sterilisation or equivalent qualification;
* At least 2 years experience as a CSSD instrument technician and/or Loan set coordinator;
* High level of autonomy and accountability working independently in a fast-paced environment;
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with ability to maintain accuracy and precision;
* Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners;
* Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures related to infection control and sterilization.
