Our Ridge Street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renown Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses and an exciting new Lactose free range.
We're looking for a warm, proactive, and people‐centred leader to guide our site maintenance team, apprentices, and contractors. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who values collaboration, enjoys helping others grow, and is committed to creating a safe, reliable, and high‐quality working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport, mentor, and empower the maintenance team to achieve their bestThoughtfully plan and coordinate scheduled shutdowns to ensure smooth and considerate deliveryBuild strong, positive relationships across departments to enable seamless daily operationsProvide clear and organised work schedules, along with ongoing coaching and encouragementRole‐model a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementAbout YouMechanical or Electrical trade/engineering qualificationExperience in FMCG or manufacturing environments, ideally with people‐leadership responsibilitiesA strong understanding of manufacturing equipment with a solutions‐focused approach to troubleshootingA collaborative leadership style, with a passion for developing and uplifting othersExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build trust and foster inclusive working relationshipsBega Group StoryBega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
