Known for our commitment to quality and customer service, we are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Spare Parts Counterperson to join our team, with a primary focus on supporting our busy service department.
About the Role
This role is integral to the smooth operation of our workshop. Working closely with our service technicians and advisors, you will ensure the timely and accurate supply of parts required for vehicle servicing and repairs. While some customer interaction is involved, the main focus will be internal support to maximise workshop efficiency and turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities
* Supply and coordinate parts for the service department and workshop technicians
* Accurately interpret parts requirements from repair orders and job cards
* Liaise closely with service advisors to prioritise urgent jobs
* Source, order, and receive parts from suppliers in a timely manner
* Assist with inventory control, stocktakes, and backorder management
* Provide support for retail and trade parts enquiries as required
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient parts area
About You
* Previous experience in automotive parts interpreting or a similar role
* Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in automotive parts interpreting is required
* Strong understanding of vehicle components and workshop processes
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills, particularly when working with internal teams
* Computer literacy (experience with parts catalogue systems preferred)
* Proficient user experience with parts catalogue systems is required
* Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this position
