We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Health and Physical Education (HPE) Teacher to join our vibrant teaching team in 2026. This full-time teaching position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students in their journey towards lifelong health, fitness, and wellbeing, while fostering values such as teamwork, resilience, and respect.
As a member of the teaching staff, you will play a key role in shaping a positive and inclusive learning environment where students thrive academically and personally. You'll also contribute to our school's sports and co-curricular programs, supporting students' holistic development and fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Health and Physical Education lessons in line with the Western Australian Curriculum.
* Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and achievement.
* Actively contribute to the school's sports programs and co-curricular activities, including interschool and community sporting events.
* Assess and report on student progress in accordance with school and curriculum requirements.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider community to support student learning and wellbeing.
* Model values of teamwork, discipline, resilience, and respect in all areas of teaching and coaching.
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
* A personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and active involvement in a Christian church.
* A clear alignment with SCEA's Statement of Faith and Foundational Beliefs.
* Registration (or eligibility) with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health and Physical Education.
* A strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum in HPE.
* Capacity to integrate ICT effectively into teaching and learning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth.
* A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or ability to obtain one.
Desirable:
* Experience in coaching and coordinating school sports teams.
* Current First Aid qualifications.
* A commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth.
