Product Design Engineers create custom part designs for commutators and slip rings. They collaborate with production leads, machinists, and quality engineers to ensure technical standards while maintaining manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD or Solidworks).
* Interpret customer specifications, internal design rules, and industry standards to create manufacturable designs.
* Support Sales and Customer Service during quoting and technical conversations.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, 4+ years of experience in product engineering, proficiency in CAD software, and excellent communication skills.
