About The Role
Eureka Villages is seeking a dedicated Casual Daytime Chef to join our team in Launceston. In this role, you will prepare and serve nutritious, high‐quality meals for residents while ensuring dietary requirements are met and the kitchen operates safely and efficiently. This position is based at our Elphinwood site, with expected shifts at this stage being Wednesday to Friday from 7:30am to 2:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipe standards.
* Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, food preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth service and a positive customer experience.
About You
* Proven culinary experience, with expertise in preparing a variety of dishes and working in fast‐paced kitchen environments.
* Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen equipment management, including your tertiary Chef qualification.
* A passion for food, with creativity and attention to detail in menu planning, food presentation, and flavour combinations.
* Ability to satisfy pre‐employment checks, including a National Police History Check.
