Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Geriatrician to join our expanding team in a dynamic, community-integrated role. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative service models designed to reduce avoidable admissions and improve care transitions for older adults.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive geriatric assessments and care planning, managing elderly inpatients, and supporting subacute admissions. They will also participate in outpatient clinics, post-discharge reviews, and ward rounds, as well as deliver remote and telehealth consults where appropriate.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment
* Managing complex geriatric cases and developing effective care plans
* Collaborating with GPs, community teams, and allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care
* Participating in quality improvement activities and contributing to service design and process improvements
This is a pivotal clinical leadership role within a growing department committed to patient-centred, future-focused care for older adults.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold FRACP in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent international qualifications, with completion of accredited specialist training programmes. Significant recent clinical experience in public hospital renal services is also essential.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
* Evidence of involvement in quality assurance and clinical governance
* Teaching or clinical education experience, with a passion for sharing knowledge and expertise
