Our client, a very large, Federal Government Organisation, responsible for foreign policy, relations & trade, are Seeking the experience of a UI/UX Designer to deliver user-centred digital solutions that enhance accessibility, usability, and design consistency across key government platforms.
Duties of the UI/UX Designer
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including delivery managers, system analysts, and organisational change managers, to design user-centered interfaces for government systems and platforms;
* Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights and incorporate user feedback into design iterations;
* Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with government policy requirements and accessibility standards;
* Develop user journeys, personas, and experience maps to understand and improve user interactions with government services;
* Ensure all UI/UX designs align with government design standards;
* Work with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs and maintain design integrity throughout the development process;
* Advocate for user-centered design principles while balancing business and policy requirements in government projects.
Skills and Experience Required
* Proven UI/UX Design Expertise;
* Accessibility knowledge;
* Technical proficiency with design tools such as e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, Axure RP and other recognised industry standard tools;
* Government policy and standards knowledge;
* Service Design expertise;
* Experience with large-scale government projects;
* Data-driven design;
* Experience with legacy systems.
