The Opportunity

The National Business Manager at SPC is a key leadership role within the SPC sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and driving the performance of strategic accounts, with a primary focus on Woolworths.

This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional capable of leading a team, developing robust sales strategies, and ensuring the successful execution of joint category plans. We are also looking for someone that can help build the culture and build collaborative customer and internal relationships.

Key Responsibilities

* Take full accountability for the Woolworths and Aldi accounts.
* Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders within these accounts.
* Own the sales delivery versus budget, implementing strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
* Manage and lead a team of sales professional including a National Account Manager and Vendor Replenishment Planner.
* Provide guidance and support to ensure individual and team performance aligns with organisational goals.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
* Drive the development and execution of joint category plans in collaboration with key accounts.
* Ensure alignment with company objectives, market trends, and customer expectations.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to bring category plans to fruition.
* Oversee the implementation of planned activation strategies for promotions and marketing initiatives.
* Manage product ranging to maximize visibility and availability within designated accounts.
* Effectively manage and allocate resources to stay within budget constraints.
* Monitor and analyse spend management, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and analyses to identify areas for improvement and growth.
* Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Contribution to the overall delivery of the retail sales
* Operates with a safety-first mindset and ensures all the required safety precautions are taken prior to entering an activity

The Successful Candidate Will Have

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
* Proven experience in a senior account management role within the FMCG industry, particularly with major retailers like Coles, Woolworths and Aldi.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
* Understanding of category management and promotional strategies.
* Growth mindset and strong self-awareness
* Ownership of sales targets and problem solving to deliver.
* Outstanding relationship building skills. Able to engage and build relationships with a diverse range of key contacts across multiple levels of the industry.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
* Proven Line Management skills with passion for development and empowerment.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
* Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
* Proficiency in using Excel and ability to learn new systems
* Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and grow within the team and busines
