Duties & Responsibilities – Cooks
* Comply with all safety and health policies, procedures and role responsibilities as outlined in the Safety and Health Responsibilities and Accountabilities procedure.
* Maintain a safety‐first mindset, ensuring all tasks are performed safely.
* Follow and stick to all standard operating procedures in daily operations.
* Ensure day‐to‐day working practices follow health and safety policies and the Safety Management System.
* Report employee or patron incidents promptly and accurately.
* Uphold hygiene standards in back‐of‐house operations by following cleaning schedules and procedures.
* Assist with washing up and kitchen cleaning when a kitchen attendant is unavailable.
Duties & Responsibilities – Chefs
* Manage day‐to‐day kitchen operations, ensuring business objectives and service standards are achieved.
* Prepare and serve meals to high‐quality standards, maintaining consistency and timeliness.
* Maximise revenue by meeting customer needs and enhancing menu offerings for competitiveness.
* Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements.
* Maintain a safe working environment by complying with health and safety policies and promoting a safety‐first culture.
* Oversee stock management, including ordering, receiving, storing, stocktakes and cost control.
* Provide leadership to the kitchen team, fostering teamwork, training staff and monitoring performance.
* Review and implement menu changes to maintain quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications – Cooks
* Food safety certification (preferred, not required).
* Relevant work experience in professional kitchens.
Qualifications – Chefs
* Apprenticeship or vocational training with hands‐on kitchen experience.
* Necessary trade cooking qualifications (Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery).
* Current food safety certification, or willingness to obtain one.
