The Cairns Sexual Health Service is a community service located within the Cairns North Community Health Centre. It provides quality sexual health services throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital Health Service.

About your opportunity:
As the Business Support Officer, you will strengthen the systems and processes that enable Cairns Sexual Health Service to operate effectively. You will oversee the delivery of administrative and business support functions, ensuring strong governance and seamless coordination across human resources, financial management and procurement.
As a key member of the team, you will build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Your work will support service sustainability, strengthen operational performance, and enable the team to focus on delivering responsive, culturally appropriate care to the community.
About your role:
* Promote healthy team functioning by effective communication and participation in all aspects of the Service, whilst acknowledging the importance of a respectful workplace.
* Facilitate the purchasing, receipting and payment of goods, travel, materials and supplies for Cairns Sexual Health Service, as per Queensland Health Policies and Procedures. Oversee the management of financial costings and account receivable functions as per financial guidelines. Functions may also include Work Cover Claims, Corporate Credit Card Reconciliation and various end of month report reconciliations.
* To maintain the integrity of the payroll systems, and MyHR by providing timely and correct data through IWFM rostering, movement forms, and exception reports.
* Resolve day to day operational issues regarding procedures and staff within the team and assist with review of work practices.
* Support staff in line with quality human resource management practices with reference to employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
