At the Type 1 Diabetes Family Centre, we provide a sanctuary for individuals and families navigating the complexities of life with T1D. We are looking for a special kind of person to be the first point of connection for our community, someone whose warmth and efficiency make everyone feel seen, supported, and welcome from the moment they walk through our Centre’s doors or contact us.
As our Clinic Experience Coordinator reporting to our Operations Manager, you are at the very heart of our Family Centre experience. You are the calm presence in our clinic, the friendly organiser who makes each person and family’s journey smoother, and the positive force that sets a supportive tone from the moment they connect with us.
What Your Impact Will Look Like:
- Creating a Welcoming Experience: You will be the first smile our visitors see. You\'ll greet every child, parent, and adult with genuine warmth, ensuring our Centre is always a tidy, protected, and positive space for all.
- Being the Hub of Connection: You will manage appointments with our health professionals, handle phone and email inquiries with empathy and knowledge, and ensure the seamless flow of information between clients, referrers, and our clinical team.
- Providing Seamless Support: Your attention to detail will ensure client records are meticulously maintained, and your experience with Medicare and billing will help families navigate the administrative side of their care with ease.
- Community Champion: You will extend our welcoming spirit into our digital spaces, becoming a friendly, go-to representative in our online communities and social media channels.
What You Bring to Our Family Centre:
- You are naturally warm, empathetic, and find genuine joy in helping others.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in a clinic or medical reception role where you were lead the front desk.
- You are tech-savvy and confident using practice management software (experience with Cliniko is a huge plus!).
- You have experience with Medicare and private health billing.
- You are a master of multitasking, able to prioritise tasks with a calm and positive attitude.
- Your reliability is unquestionable, and you thrive in a structured full-time role (8.30am – 5pm).
- A personal or family connection to type 1 diabetes is highly desirable, as it brings a level of understanding that can\'t be taught.
