We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our team for a casual shift at a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Tweed Heads. This home supports 3 individuals with varying physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, and we are looking for someone who can provide person-centred support with empathy, structure, and professionalism.
About the Role: In this role, you will be responsible for supporting residents in their daily routines, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and promoting independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with personal care and daily living activities
* Support clients with mobility, including physio exercises as prescribed
* Assist with light housework and maintain a clean, tidy home environment
* Promote healthy eating and assist with meal preparation
* Accurately complete documentation and shift notes
* Transport or accompany clients to medical appointments or community outings
* Provide emotional reassurance and maintain a calm, supportive presence
About You:
* Passionate about making a positive impact in others' lives
* Highly organised, tidy, and detail-oriented
* Comfortable working with individuals with varying support needs
* Confident in following care plans and routines
* Holds a current Driver's Licence and is willing to transport clients as needed
* Committed to upholding dignity, choice, and independence for every individual
Essential Requirements:
* Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (including booster, if applicable)
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence
* Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance (if transporting clients)
