What You'll Do
You'll take ownership of the complete fortnightly payroll cycle, managing complexity with confidence while ensuring every payment reflects the care and professionalism this organisation is known for.
Your key responsibilities:
Process end-to-end payroll in full compliance with legislation, multiple awards, and enterprise agreements
Interpret and apply complex award conditions, maintaining accurate rates, entitlements, and terms across all pay data
Ensure rigorous compliance with taxation, superannuation, leave calculations, and all statutory obligations
Code and process timesheets with precision while administering the full spectrum of leave types
Lead payroll control activities including compliance audits, reporting, reconciliation, and error resolution
Prepare comprehensive payroll reports and deliver on month-end requirements
Provide expert advice on payroll queries, delivering exceptional service to employees and managers alike
Champion continuous improvement in payroll systems, processes, and accuracy
What You Bring
Essential experience and skills:
3-4+ years in payroll processing within medium to large organizations (400+ employees, 5+ awards)
Deep knowledge of payroll legislation, award interpretation, tax, superannuation, and compliance frameworks
Demonstrated success managing multi-award environments and diverse employment contracts
Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational capability
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team
Clear communication skills with the confidence to explain complex payroll matters
Advanced proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
Current NDIS Worker's Screening Check
Valid National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months)
