Job Description
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic and self‐motivated HSE Advisor who thrives in a fast‐paced environment.
This is a 12‐month FIFO role based in Pilbara, WA.
The primary purpose is to contribute to the HSE team's goals to influence positive attitudes and behaviours that foster a positive safety culture, ensure continuous improvement and good corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing technical advice and coaching including safety leadership, risk management, HSE systems, incident investigation, inspection and monitoring, training.
* Conduct audits of project operations, the HSE Management System and its implementation for compliance and continuous improvement.
* Assist with the implementation of control measures to address HSE risk and ensure monitoring and reviews for effectiveness is undertaken.
* Facilitate the communication and consultation of necessary HSE information/lessons learned across all sites in the project.
Skills & Experience
* 3+ years' experience in a high‐risk industry; engineering / railway / construction
* Diploma of Work Health and Safety
* Ability to build HSE capability and safety leadership for managers, employees, and contractors
* Ability to influence and drive safe behaviours and performance through building effective relationships and engagement
* Demonstratable knowledge and experience of operating within ISO45001, ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems & AS/NZS is essential
* Highly proficient computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Office suite and other computer programs
* Investigator Qualification
* Agile mindset, able to take prompt decisions in a challenging environment
* Demonstrates perseverance, patience and commitment for long term success
