Pharmacist, Day Therapy Unit (Grade 2)

Full time ongoing role available | job share considered
Parkville location, with multiple transport options at our doorstep
Up to $106,907 (pro-rata for part time) base + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave

About The Team

As a Day Therapy Pharmacist at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, you will practise at the forefront of ambulatory cancer care within Australia's largest oncology infusion service, supporting patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy and complex investigational treatments.

The Pharmacy Day Therapy team provides services to the Day Therapy Unit, Hospital-in-the-Home and the Ambulatory Cellular Therapy (ACT) Unit. The team play a key role in supporting high quality patient care and groundbreaking cancer research through the provision of clinical pharmacy services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams as well as clinical trials and aseptic manufacturing. With a strong focus on innovation, quality, and collaboration, the team contributes directly to advancing cancer treatment and improving outcomes - keeping patient care at the centre of everything we do.

About The Role

This dedicated Grade 2 clinical pharmacist role spans clinical checking and treatment verification, and direct patient education and counselling. Working within a highly specialised team of pharmacists and technicians, you will contribute to safe, high-throughput infusion care while developing advanced capability in oncology therapeutics, clinical trials practice and multidisciplinary decision-making.

The position offers clear professional growth, including opportunities to deputise for the Day Therapy Senior Pharmacist and cultivate tumour-stream subspecialty expertise, all within weekday, standard-hours model that supports sustainable clinical excellence. About You

You will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

You'll Bring With You

Qualified pharmacist, registered with AHPRA.
Experience in oncology clinical pharmacy practice, particularly haematology and medical oncology inpatient wards.
Well-developed organisation, prioritisation, and communication skills.
Leadership and team building skills.
Relevant post-graduate qualifications are desirable.
