About Stride

We are a leading mental health service provider specialising in working with adults, young people and early childhood intervention. Our team of experts offers a safe and welcoming environment for individuals experiencing psychological distress to access support from trained mental health professionals within their community.

The Medicare Mental Health Services we provide are free and do not require an appointment, referral or Medicare card. Our new centres in Burnie, Tasmania offer a streamlined approach to support better mental health and social wellbeing across the community.


Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our clinical team as a Brief Intervention Clinician. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychosocial assessments, low-intensity brief intervention treatment and evaluation. Your role will involve providing comprehensive mental health assessment, case coordination, intervention or group work as required, with specific responsibility to provide Brief Interventions.

You will also complete intake assessments as needed.


Key Responsibilities

* Deliver quality psychosocial assessments and interventions
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive mental health care
* Develop and implement individualised care plans
* Maintain accurate records and documentation


Requirements

1. AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist OR Mental Health Nurse OR AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
2. Demonstrated expertise in Brief Intervention Models of Care Commitment to professional development and willingness to participate in a continuous learning environment
3. Strong judgment and evaluation skills with a working understanding of assessment and care planning
4. Familiarity with the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs
5. Experience in providing alcohol and other drugs (AOD) counselling and support
6. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work sensitively with people who have or are at risk of developing a mental illness
7. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a member of a team
8. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasks
9. Exceptional verbal communication and writing skills
10. Eligibility for Working With Children Check (WWCC)
11. NDIS worker screening clearance
