About our school

St John's College is a Catholic secondary learning community established by the Good Samaritan Sisters in 1940. Summary

Help enhance the smooth operation of the school with your ability to provide exceptional support across a variety of tasks. St John's College is seeking a dynamic and passionate School Officer to support our Program Middle Leader – Sport, in the administration of the College's extracurricular sports program.

* Location: St John's – Nambour (S)
* Start date: 27 Jan 2026
* Work hours: 38 hours per week
* Salary: $36.99 per hour + super (School Salary Scale)
* Status: Term Time Continuing

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

* Coordinating student transport arrangements for sporting activities in accordance with BCE policy and safeguarding practices
* Collaborating with sports coordinators to ensure the efficient running of all sports programmes
* Assisting with supervision of various sporting activities at venues
* Coordinating certificates and trophies for award ceremonies
* Overseeing communication through the school's Team App platform
* In partnership with the Sports Middle Leader and business team, securing bi‑annual sponsorships for the Sports Programme
* Managing playing equipment and uniforms for sports teams
* Preparing medical lists and kits for sporting events and activities
* Providing general administrative support as required
* Assisting with other duties as assigned by the Program Middle Leader – Sport or College Leadership Team
* Ensuring adherence to all College policies and procedures to safeguard students during extracurricular sports activities


About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

* Experience working in a school environment
* A strong passion for sports and supporting student‑athletes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to learn new online platforms such as My Sideline, Game Day and Meet Manager
* A team‑oriented attitude with a proactive approach to problem‑solving
* The ability to independently apply your skills to support students and staff in achieving successful sports activities
* Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, would be advantageous
* Time‑management skills and the ability to prioritise competing needs
* For this position you are not required to be Catholic


Eligibility and safeguarding requirements

* Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
* Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement
