**About the Role**
The client is currently recruiting for an experienced Operations & Resource Planning Manager to join the team.
This integral role includes managing labour assignments at the roster build stage. This includes the assignment of training activities and rostered duties - ensuring compliant rosters are achieved against industrial agreements. As well as overseeing the Operations Planning team.
In addition, you will be responsible for leading, coaching and developing the Operations & Resource Planning Team.
This position has six direct reports spread across two teams - Resource Planning and Operations Planning.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical, problem solving individual.
**Your main duties and responsibilities will include**:
- Managing labour requirements against roster publication cycles
- Managing team training requirements
- Implementing cost effective solutions with resource planning
- Ensuring all industrial work rules are achieved and nil breaches received
- Reviewing roster patterns and implement adjustments to provide improvement
- Analysing data to demonstrate trends to the various stakeholders and customers
- Make improvement recommendations for resource allocation
- Liaison with labour hire agencies supporting the ordering and hours invoiced
- Providing feedback to the Analytical Modelling & Strategy team to improve forecasting
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role within a large organisation
- Experience working in a high-pressure operational environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Highly analytical approach to problem solving and implementing solutions
- Strong Project Management focus with experience developing high-level strategic plans
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills, with ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy
- Financial management and budgeting experience
- Highly developed analytical planning and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and organisation skills
- Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders in a high volume, high value environment
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills
