Our Team
Our Above Water Systems team designs and engineers commercial and naval ships – as well as providing in-service support capabilities. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our Navy. The role
Prospect for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team based in Garden Island. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and information throughout our organisation. You will possess a comprehensive understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and will be well-rounded across all aspects of the supply chain, including demand and supply planning, procurement, buying, and logistics.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Supply Chain team
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning process (S&OP;) to align supply with demand.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the supply chain
- Ensure the efficiency of physical flows and information flows in accordance with business objectives.
- Support the implementation of Lean processes to drive operational excellence.
- Manage procurement and production/repair needs to meet customer requirements.
- Manage supplier performance and cultivate relationships with stakeholders.
- Ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Consolidate upgrades supply chain architecture.
- Implement just-in-time systems and supervise operational parties.
- Develop the skills of the supply chain team to build increased capability and ensure adherence to standards.
Your Experience
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications such as APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) are highly desirable.
- Strong SAP S/4 HANA experience.
- Proven track record of success in supply chain management roles
- Experience in a variety of supply chain functions, including demand planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Experience working within a large international organisation and complex project environment
- Knowledge of production and repair processes, inventory management, and supply chain methodologies.
- Experience in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and use of supply chain IT.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to mobilise resources, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
