The Role: CLINICAL DIRECTOR OF RADIOLOGY, LAUNCESTON GENERAL HOSPITAL The Tasmanian Health Service-North and Launceston General Hospital presents a unique and exciting opportunity for a specialist Radiologist who would like to establish themselves as a Clinical Director of Radiology. The Clinical Director will provide effective and technically up to date clinical leadership to the LGH medical imaging Department. They will also provide expert advice in the transition from an outsourced radiology reporting service to an internal model thus presenting a unique opportunity to build a department that will mesh and grow with the LGH medical imaging and clinical team. You will bring a high level of proficiency in general and interventional radiology. Sub speciality skills in cardiac imaging or MRI will be highly regarded. The Team: LGH Radiology sees approximately 70,000 patients annually. Modalities include general x-ray, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, ultrasound. All equipment is modern and well and recently updated with two new CT scanners installed in late 2024. You will lead a professional team of over 40 staff dedicated to achieving high quality patient care as well as organisational goals and objectives. Salary: Specialist Medical Practitioners Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $216,300 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata 12% superannuation access to salary packaging Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $300,216 -$310,389 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022 In addition, the following allowances and benefit, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every year. Provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance of $28,786 per annum, pro rata Subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of base salary plus on-call, pro rata, of additional payment will be paid from (PPS).
