🌿 Medical Receptionist (Casual) – The Bowral Doctor, Bowral NSW
$33–$38 per hour (based on experience)
Casual with option for part time permanent
The Bowral Doctor is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our team. We are a small, but growing, family oriented general practice with a focus on compassionate and comprehensive care, helping our patients at all stages of life.
About the role
We are looking for a Medical Receptionist 2-3 days a week. You would work alongside our current receptionist to deliver high quality reception and administrative services.
About you
You are friendly, organised, calm under pressure, compassionate and professional. Punctual and dependable. You are invested in delivering exceptional service that aligns with our culture and values. You are confident and competent with computers and technology. You have a \"Can-do\" attitude with a smile.
Experience in general practice is preferred (but not essential).
Responsibilities
* Greeting patients, answering the phone, scheduling appointments
* Handling payments, issuing invoices/receipts, sending claims to Medicare
* Entering new patients and updating existing patient details
* Assisting doctors by chasing up results, scanning, copying documents
* Uploading patient correspondence/results
* Maintaining the reception area and waiting room in a tidy and welcoming manner
* Maintaining an accurate log of specimens (pathology) for collection
