We are seeking an experienced Manager to take the lead in managing our warehouse operations, logistics systems and inventory control for our Dominant, Bell Chemicals and Cafetto brands. This is a key role within our growing business—ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time and our supply chain runs smoothly.
About the Role
As the Logistics and Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day control of warehouse operations, stock configuration, logistics systems and continuous improvement of warehouse processes. A major focus of this role is ensuring timely shipping of customer orders and collaborating with key departments (Operations, Sales, Purchasing and Finance) to minimise backorders and maintain a reliable supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all warehouse activities comply with WHS regulations, Dangerous Goods legislation and Chain of Responsibility laws.
Inventory Management & Stock Configuration
Implement and maintain optimal stock layout, racking and bunding to maximise space and comply with storage standards.
Ensure accurate inventory data through regular stocktakes using Microsoft Dynamics and RF barcoding systems
Oversee inventory across domestic and international warehouses and proactively communicate supply issues.
Warehouse Operations & Efficiency
Maintain a clean, organised and structured warehouse.
Identify and correct process inefficiencies to improve accuracy and speed.
Lead, coach and develop warehouse staff.
Manage pallet control and maintain supplier relationships.
Oversee picking and despatch of all orders, including exports.
Oversee all freight activities—local, interstate, import/export—ensuring timeliness and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain freight systems, handle urgent transport needs and manage relationships with third-party providers.
Manage reverse logistics, returns and empty drum collections.
Stakeholder Communication & Financial Administration
Work closely with sales and operations to manage supply issues and customer expectations.
Approve freight and warehouse invoices; raise credits where needed.
Coordinate returned goods with relevant departments.
Key Requirements
Forklift licence (desirable)
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory software (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
Understanding of WHS, Dangerous Goods regulations and road transport legislation.
Proven leadership experience in a logistics or warehouse environment.
Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy.
Customer-focused with a commitment to service excellence.
