In this job you will provide clinical leadership, advice, consultation, liaison and support to internal and external stakeholders, other providers and agencies, patients, their families and their carers throughout the region.
There is a brand new 15-bed inpatient facility project about to be completed.
Responsibilities
Working within a MDT you will lead the provision of care to child and adolescent patients.
Acting as senior liaison to colleagues in other specialties, NGOs, GPs, other providers, hospitals etc.
Participating in quality and safety improvement projects.
Education and mentoring doctors in training as well as students.
Selection Criteria
FRANZCP or equivalent specialist training completed in UK after **** (UK training satisfies the new RANZCP accelerated pathway and expedited specialist pathway, with criteria conditions)
An interest or experience in providing psychiatric care in regional or rural context.
Significant experience in general adult psychiatric settings.
Commitment to working within a MDT framework.
Commitment to continuing your professional development education.
Experience in tele-health/video conferencing & excellent IT skills.
Willingness to undertake outreach activities.
