Government Relations Manager Position
This role combines policy expertise with the ability to cultivate influential relationships across the political and regulatory landscape.
The Government Relations Manager will lead the strategy and team responsible for executing BHP's integrated policy, political engagement and campaign program in support of WAIO and Nickel West.
Lead the development and execution of public policy and government relations strategy within Western Australia.
Monitor and analyse political, policy and regulatory developments to anticipate risk and opportunity.
Build and maintain trusted, influential relationships with political stakeholders, government officials, and policy influencers.
Represent BHP in high-level political and policy forums.
Provide strategic advice and counsel to Asset leadership on political, policy and regulatory matters.
Lead and coach the Public Policy and Government Relations team.
Oversee campaign and content development.
Manage task allocation and administration.
Requirements
A proven track record in government relations, advocacy and strategic engagement is required.
Deep expertise in navigating complex political and regulatory environments is essential.
