Our company is seeking a permanent full-time accounting professional to join our team in Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of quarterly and end-of-year financial reports, which are submitted to relevant authorities
2. Preparation, lodgment, and variation of quarterly BAS, IAS, and PAYG instalments, ensuring compliance with taxation laws
3. Acquisition, amortisation, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets, following established accounting standards
4. Reconciling discrepancies between accounts receivable general ledger account and accounts receivable trial balance account, maintaining accurate financial records
5. Performing required billing and collections reporting in a timely manner according to deadlines, adhering to industry standards
6. Managing and checking account details and balance issues, resolving any discrepancies promptly
7. Bank reconciliation, ensuring accurate financial transactions
8. Posting receipts to appropriate general ledger accounts, maintaining an up-to-date financial position
9. Composing effective accounting reports summarizing accounts payable data, providing valuable insights for business decision-making
10. End-to-end payroll functions, termination, leave, superannuation payments, and other payroll liabilities, ensuring accurate employee remuneration
11. General ledger coding, classifying financial transactions correctly
12. A/p and A/R, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently
13. Data entry, accurately recording financial transactions
14. Experience in cash flow forecast, developing predictive models for future financial performance
15. Budgeting, creating comprehensive financial plans
Requirements:
* Xero experience essential for efficient accounting operations
* Residential construction experience desirable for understanding the industry's specific needs
* Buildxact experience desirable for proficiency in industry-specific software
* A forward thinker who can propose innovative solutions to improve financial processes
* High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and reporting
