Cyber Security Software Developer
to lead and deliver critical cybersecurity capabilities under the
REDSPICE Program
.
Location:
Canberra
Contract:
12 months + 24 months extension
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical leadership, secure software development, and working on mission-critical systems that protect Australia's national interests.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, integrate, and document secure software solutions
* Lead and support agile development teams
* Ensure quality, security, and availability of applications
* Work closely with business and product owners to refine requirements
* Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
Essential Experience
* Python software development
* Agile delivery environments
* AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3)
* GitLab and CI/CD using GitLab Runners
* End-to-end technical ownership of software development
* Cyber Threat Intelligence tools and formats (e.g. MISP, TAXII)
Desirable
* Release planning and risk assessment
* Apache NiFi data pipelines
* Experience in secure government environments
* Relevant Bachelor's degree or higher
Requirements
* Active
NV2 Security Clearance
(no sponsorship for upgrades)
* Australian citizenship
* Successful completion of ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA)
