Merchant & Green is a creative florist and plant store located in the heart of Redfern, Sydney. Known for our artisan flower arrangements, lush indoor plants, and engaging workshops, we’ve built a loyal community of customers who love fresh, modern design and quality craftsmanship.
About the Role
We’re looking for a talented florist to join our friendly, supportive team. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about flowers, plants, and creating memorable customer experiences. Day-to-day, you’ll:
- Prepare and condition fresh flowers and foliage
- Create bespoke bouquets and arrangements to order
- Assist customers with both floral and plant purchases
- Help with visual merchandising and maintaining our beautiful store displays
- Support our workshops, events, and peak trading periods (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, etc.)

Skills & Experience
You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
- A strong eye for colour, balance, and design
- Creativity and a genuine passion for flowers and plants
- 2+ years of retail floristry experience (preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisation and time management abilities
- Reliability, positivity, and a team-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work weekends and during busy seasonal periods
