Fluoromet is a bespoke critical minerals process development company currently expanding its on-site infrastructure and facilities.
We're seeking a motivated Construction Supervisor to oversee a range of sitewide upgrade projects — from cosmetic renovations and extensions through to full structural builds and new laboratories.
This is a short-term Central Coast-based opportunity initially, with the view to transition into a longer engagement as the business continues to grow.
The expected initial contract duration for this role is 3-6 months.
This role uniquely blends client-side project management, acting as the client's representative, with hands-on project delivery, working closely with our construction team to maintain safety and uphold exceptional construction standards.
This position offers the opportunity to lead a small team as the business expands. Initially, you'll need to dive in and get your hands dirty, managing every aspect of projects to deliver excellence, and support progress via custom spreadsheets and works plans.
What You'll Do
* Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple construction projects; from small-scope upgrades to complex scope new builds, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
* Develop detailed scopes of work, generate timelines, and construction programs.
* Champion on-site safety and ensure that all legislated WHS protocols are understood, enacted and maintained
* Work closely with our contractors and employees, to oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure seamless communication and project delivery.
* Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and trades to deliver projects efficiently and safely.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Formal qualification in Building and Construction Management (Diploma/Degree).
* Experience in commercial construction project supervision/management preferred but not necessary.
* In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
* Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Buildxact).
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Current white card, car, and current valid driver's license.
* A proactive mindset and the ability to present confidently to stakeholders.
* Australian work rights are mandatory for this position.
