Overview
The Leasing Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for growing the company's rental portfolio / rent roll by attracting new clients (landlords) and managing the onboarding of those new clients. The primary focus is securing property listings and handing them over to the property management team on business development tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the rent roll in line with company targets.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand the rental portfolio.
- Generate and follow up on leads for new property management business through various channels (referrals, networking, databases, online platforms, walk-ins and networking events).
- Monitor market trends to assess market rental values and provide recommendations to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, referral partners and developers.
- Conduct professional rental appraisals and prepare management agreements.
- Maintain and grow the agency database of potential clients and key contacts.
- Ensure smooth handover and onboarding process of new properties to the property management team.
- Stay informed of industry regulations to ensure compliance.
- Maintain and update prospecting activity in CRM systems.
What We Are Looking For
- Fluent in English, Mandarin proficiency highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of Sydney’s rental market.
- Prior experience in business development within the Real Estate industry.
- Proven success in a Leasing Business Development role.
- A positive, outgoing, and professional attitude.
- Confident communicator with excellent communication, networking and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of current legislation and compliance requirements.
- Holds a current Agent’s Representative Certificate.
- Driver's license and reliable vehicle.
