Experienced Disability Support Workers – Tweed Heads (24/7 Roster)
Right at Home Gold Coast is seeking skilled and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our dedicated 24/7 rotating roster, providing in-home support to a client living with Multiple Sclerosis in Tweed Heads. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support workers with a background in complex care to make a meaningful impact while delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
About the Role:
* Location: Tweed Heads (Immediate Start)
* Shifts: 5+ hour blocks, including passive sleepover shifts (1 staff member onsite at a time)
* Hours: 10–38 hours per week (flexible availability required)
* Support: In-depth training and guidance from senior staff
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and household tasks
* Provide community access and encourage social participation
* Support medication management and accompany clients to appointments
* Promote independence, dignity, and self-determination
* Monitor, document, and report on client health and wellbeing
* Follow detailed care plans and maintain accurate records
What You'll Bring:
* Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, or related field (completed)
* Current First Aid (within 3 years) and CPR certification (within 12 months)
* Proven experience supporting clients with high and complex care needs
* Understanding of person-centred care and NDIS frameworks
* Experience in daily personal care, manual handling, and medication support
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
* Open driver's licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* NDIS Worker Screening Card
* Completion of the NDIS Online Worker Orientation Module
