This role is also suited to Oral Health Therapy students who are in their 1st or 2nd year of their course.

This role has risen as our current dental assistant is progressing on with her studies.

We are a specialist periodontal practice led by Dr Derrick Lee and supported by his team of periodontal hygienists and clinical staff.

We are passionate about delivering exceptional periodontal and implantology treatment in addition to providing caring patient support for our patients to be able to assist them to eat, speak and smile.
The dental assistant role is for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The hours are 8:30 to 5:30 pm. You will need your own transport to travel between Wembley and Kalamunda. Start date can be flexible or ASAP.
Responsibilities
Opening and Closing the clinical side of the practice
Chair side dental assisting – periodontal and surgical procedures
Cleaning and sterilisation duties along with highest levels of cross infection control
Direct interaction with patients – providing a warm welcome to ensure they are comfortable during their appointments
Handle administrative duties, including stocktake and receiving supply orders
Ideal Candidate
Certificate IV in Dental Assisting
Minimum 5 years experience in chair side assisting and 2 years in implant surgery
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A commitment to reliability and a professional work ethic
Desire to be part of a team long-term (more than 12 months)
High standard of personal presentation
Punctual to work
Positive attitude towards your work
Strong time management and organisational skills
Want to engage with fellow team members to expand their knowledge and skill set
