What you'll be doing:
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will spearhead the strategic and operational management of a broad portfolio of Manassen Foods' products within Coles. Your mission is to champion the customer internally and ensure alignment with Coles' broader strategy, whilst utilizing your commercial breadth & depth of knowledge to drive best practice execution and cross-functional collaboration.
* Sales Strategy and Financial Deliverables: Assume P&L responsibilities for categories within Coles whilst collaborating with internal Brand and Category teams to develop and implement strategic vision and tactical plans that address business priorities.
* Customer Management: Cultivate and sustain robust trading relationships across various functions and tiers within the Coles business, overseeing critical timelines for category review process and JBPs for key categories.
* Integrated Business Planning: Oversee sales inputs for the forecasting and planning cycle, including financial forecasting and action planning.
* Communication: Work closely with Brand and Category teams to meet customer expectations and address category priorities.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Brand and Category, Finance and Commercial to ensure alignment and support cross-functional projects that drive business growth.
* Team Leadership & Development: Coach, develop and lead a high‐performing team of two, building capability, accountability and succession while role‐modelling Manassen Foods' values and ways of working.
Success in this role will be defined by stronger, more trusted partnerships with Coles, reflected in improved Voice of Customer outcomes and sustained, profitable category growth.
What you bring:
* Extensive experience in a senior sales or category management role within the FMCG industry, with a track record of managing major retail accounts.
* Solid understanding of Revenue Growth Management fundamentals and application in market.
* Motivated to own a process and accept accountability for performance.
* Have a keen eye for continuous improvement and the willingness to adapt as required.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including to build relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* Proven experience in an organisation with a well-functioning IBP/S&OP cycle.
* A university degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not essential.
