Assistant Finance Analyst Looking to kick-start your career in finance? This is a great opportunity to join our Group Finance team, supporting month-end processes, management reporting, forecasting and budgeting across Enabling Functions and the Group Expenses portfolio. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is analytical, detail-oriented and keen to build a strong foundation in financial analysis and accounting. You’ll be supported by experienced finance professionals and gain exposure to core financial operations within a large, complex financial services organisation. What you’ll do Support delivery of month-end finance processes accurately and on time Investigate and resolve data variances and reconciliations Prepare and process accounting journals Assist with management reporting and performance insights Support forecasting and budgeting activities Maintain and update financial systems and databases Collaborate with finance teams and key stakeholders across the business Build strong relationships to understand business drivers and trends What you’ll bring Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline Up to 2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance-related role (or relevant graduate experience) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines Confidence working with data and financial information Strong Excel skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite Exposure to finance systems such as Oracle, TM1/Cognos or Power BI (desirable) Interest in building a career within financial services Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information Why You’ll Love Working at Suncorp When you join Suncorp, you’re not just taking a job — you’re building a career with one of Australia’s most trusted employers.
