Heavy Diesel Mechanic Role Summary
We are seeking a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to maintain and repair mobile plant assets, ensuring their safety, reliability, and efficiency.
In this position, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance on port mobile plant and infrastructure, diagnosing and repairing mechanical/electrical faults and breakdowns, conducting risk assessments, and working with planners to prioritize tasks.

About You
* Cert III in Engineering - Mechanical or equivalent (Mandatory)
* Mechanical trade experience (Preferred)
* Auto electrical diagnostic skills (Preferred)
* Crane industry experience (Preferred)
* Experience in heavy diesel serving, mechanical maintenance, and fault diagnostics
* Ability to obtain Maritime Safety Identification Card (MSIC)
* Demonstrated computer and software skills (SAP experience highly regarded)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Commitment to safety and compliance with WH&S standards
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with planners and supervisors
* C Class driver's licence (unrestricted or provisional)
