**About the role**

A key member of our New Bridgewater Bridge project leadership team, the Human Resource Manager will be responsible for organisational development management, HR management, leadership, and policy development, and be the culture lead.
Based in Hobart, Tasmania, this role offers an opportunity for you to enjoy coming to work! This is a hands-on role that requires you to provide overall leadership and role model constructive leadership behavior to create and sustain a high-performance culture and act as required by the relevant client agreement and in a spirit of mutual trust and cooperation.
You will have significant and demonstrated experience to lead the ongoing development of human resource management, internal consultancy services, and programs to build and strengthen project human resource capabilities. You will be a part of the New Bridgewater Bridge project, Tasmania's largest-ever transport infrastructure project, and the longest road bridge over water in Australia.
- Develop and maintain project-specific HR Management Plans in accordance with the McConnell Dowell Management System (MMS), considering client requirements and project needs
- Support business development in Tasmania helping developing project pipeline beyond the project.
- Own the project objectives and ensure that a key focus is maintained on meeting or exceeding these objectives throughout the Program duration.
- Employee onboarding/induction and introductory training so that new employees are quickly integrated into the organisation.
- Provide overall support and management to the Project's staff, identify staff development needs and facilitate appropriate training.
- Support management and site sub-contractors to comply with the Company and client workplace relations policy and requirements and all industrial legislation. Support the site contractors to be Code Compliant in their behaviours and conduct on site.
- Support the site by managing right of entry, industrial disputation and adherence to relevant industrial instruments.
- Provide advice, support and coaching to senior managers in a broad range of areas, including resource planning, recruitment and selection, labour cost management, organisational design, supervisory and leadership development, and performance management
- Champion Industry Capability & Inclusion initiatives across the project through partnering with stakeholders (managers/supervisors/procurement) and turn initiatives into action
**About you**
- Degree with a solid track record in a Senior Human Resources role.
- Industrial Relations experience including sound working knowledge of the Australian Building and Construction Commission Code is highly desirable
- Strong experience and demonstrated capability in dealing with Employee Relations issues including but not limited to advice on the Fair Work Framework and managing employee issues
- Ability to effectively network externally to deliver on initiatives
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications.
- Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.
