Job Title: Mental Health Nurse
We are seeking a skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team in Ballarat.
About the Role:
The Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU) provides longer-term, recovery-focused care for individuals requiring 24/7 mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver holistic, evidence-based nursing care to consumers and carers within an inpatient mental health setting.
* Complete biopsychosocial and risk assessments and develop treatment plans aligned with recovery goals.
* Support therapeutic programs, including group and individual psychosocial interventions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A strong knowledge of recovery-oriented practice, less restrictive practice, and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act.
* Experience in inpatient mental health or bed-based settings.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
