The Office for Early Childhood Development (OECD) was created to champion change and to help build a system that gives all children a great start to life. Guided by the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care, the OECD is the steward of the early childhood development system in South Australia – with responsibilities including the introduction of universal 3-year-old preschool.
The Director, Enterprise Services plays a pivotal leadership role at the centre of the organisation, working closely with the Chief Executive to enable strong governance, strategic alignment and organisational performance. Leading enterprise-wide program management, overseeing key corporate functions including human resources, financial reporting, procurement, internal communications and executive services, the Director ensures the organisation is well governed, capable and positioned to deliver complex reform agenda. With a strong focus on executive advice, assurance and coordination, you will drive integrated planning, high-quality decision making and efficient corporate processes while fostering a high performance, inclusive and values-led culture that supports the wellbeing of people and the delivery of outcomes for South Australian children. Reporting to the Chief Executive and forming part of the Leadership Team, this role requires an appropriately qualified and experienced Executive with proven ability to support complex, cross[1]organisational programs and initiatives, strengthen governance frameworks, and make it as simple as possible for staff across the organisation to have maximum impact in their roles.
You will bring strong leadership capabilities and sound judgement, and be an exceptional communicator capable of building trusted relationships and influencing across all levels of the organisation.
