Job DescriptionPurpose of the role:
* This is an exciting, role for a dynamic self-starter designed to identify and support business growth opportunities for SeeWay PTY LTD a subsidiary of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
* Your primary focus will be to increase our presence in the region and building a sustainable referral pipeline to our web application and services. You will achieve this by proactively engaging with potential client referrers, building trusting and lasting relationship, nurturing warm leads, and collaborating with stakeholders to build effective referral pathways.
* This is a highly visible role allowing you to liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders across the health care industry, other not for profit foundations, potential partner organisations and the organisation to co-ordinate market research, analysis, developing high quality business growth strategies.
Key focus areas:
Strategic Development
* Identify market and growth opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels; undertake market research and analyse data to develop effective business development and relationship management strategy.
* Analyse growth opportunities to identify new channels, develop responsive communications and common approach models, support identification of risks, support further product/service development through feedback from referrers and clients about their needs.
* Collaborate with teams across the organisation to develop strategic partnerships, including building and assessing a pipeline of partners, to support the growth strategy.
* Assist in developing entry level staff members into valuable team contributors.
* Contribute to product, service, communication, marketing ideation through participation in workshops, providing information, thoughts and ideas.
Analysis and reporting
* Ability to identify future trends and pathways that can contribute to long-term organisational success including.
* Maintain an in-depth understanding of developments in the health care environment nationally and the competitive landscape in the not-for-profit industry.
* Develop an understanding of relevant sectors and how they are likely to respond, the drivers of sectors and potential opportunities.
* Produce management reports: Monitor progress against business development plan, with targeted goals, objectives, methods, initiatives, quantifiable outcomes (such as client engagement numbers against conversions) and timelines to achieve sustainability and annual goals.
Stakeholder Relations
* Engage, build and nurture positive relationships with key stakeholders/partners in the not-for-profit, health care, allied and community service industries to secure referral leads and contracts.
* Collaborates with health care providers to establish clinical integration processes to ensure that eligible clients are referred into the appropriate programs and services.
* Build partnerships and strategic alliances that will extend the organisation's brand in the community.
* Arrange and participate in collaborative business meetings with prospective and existing partners/key stakeholders.
* Take the lead on stakeholder/partner relationships, but equally introduce and involve other team members to ensure a robust and seamless client relationships management strategy is being delivered.
* Promote the company's products and services.
* Leverage existing relationships to fast-track referral pathways.
* Regularly and accurately update contact details, activities, and relationship strategies for each stakeholder/partner in CRM.
* Strong working relationships are developed and maintained across the organisation, enabling strategic and operational objectives to be met.
* Assist in organising and represent the organisation at key industry and trade networking events and conferences to raise the company profile.
* Generate positive community awareness of the organisation, its mission and impact, and strengthen its brand and reputation with business partners, clients and the community we serve.
Communication and marketing
* Ability to effectively communicate the benefits of the product and services in a clear concise manner to encourage further engagement and client conversion.
* Work closely with broader team to create, develop, and distribute quality collateral materials to support business development and growth.
* Work in close partnership with the marketing team to develop consistent messaging.
* A tertiary degree in business management or similar.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Ability to develop, manage and nurture strategic relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders across all levels, supporting business outcomes and growth opportunities.
* Demonstrated success leading business strategy development, business-to-business partnering in the fields of social services, health care, aging, or disability.
* Understand the community services sector and funding arrangements.
* Experience in building business value through business development activities.
* Experience in networking with targeted influencer identification and outreach.
* Experience negotiating with and influencing decision makers.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
* Mature and professional in approach and presentation.
* Is outcome focussed and follows through with commitments.
* Flexibility: adapts to changing circumstances and prioritises work and addresses what is important.
