About the Role
Purpose of the Position
This is a part-time role that requires a qualified and experienced Psychologist to join our Clinical Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to clients, including assessments, interventions, and ongoing support.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Providing psychological services to clients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults;
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored intervention plans;
- Delivering evidence-based interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions;
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care;
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on client progress;
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A General Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA);
- Eligibility to provide psychological supports under Medicare Better Access Program;
- Relevant criminal history clearances, including a National Police Check, DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC);
- Completion of Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) training;
- Demonstrated experience in working across the lifespan with a range of mental health presentations, including trauma, complex trauma, and complex presentations;
- Demonstrated experience working within the neurodiversity-affirming paradigm and gender-affirming framework;
- Demonstrated experience providing culturally safe practices for people identifying as First Nations and/or culturally diverse;
- Demonstrated experience in supporting clients using evidence-based practices;
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice and reconciliation;
- Passion for continued learning and commitment to ethical practice, as well as personal and professional development;
- Ability to work autonomously, as well as desire to support others and work in a team;
- Demonstrated self-care practices;
- Holding an Area of Practice endorsement;
- Experience in working with people with disabilities;
- Working knowledge of NDIS and Medicare systems;
- Completion of NDIS Worker Check and NDIS Worker Orientation module;
- Experience in working with government and non-government agencies;
- Experience in provision of psychological services via telehealth;
- Experience in conducting psychological assessments;
- Experience in developing and delivering training to groups;
