Job Description
The Claims Management Group is a vital component of Comcare's strategic objectives, tasked with delivering an effective and sustainable workers' compensation scheme for the Australian Public Service.
The group works closely with employers and employees to identify strategies that facilitate early return to work or recovery at work.
The Claims Administration and Income Support (CAIS) team performs critical financial and administrative services to support claims management. The CAIS team operates under two sub teams: Income Support and Financial and Client Services.
The Income Support team is responsible for incapacity payments, including determining incapacity, payment, and recovery of overpayments. The Financial and Client Services team undertakes administrative claim functions such as provider payment processing, document processing, and contact centre support.
Financial and Client Services Administration Role Overview
This role provides client support functions, including handling claims calls, administrative tasks, non-complex provider payment processing, and accurate receipting and classification of claim documentation.
You will contribute to achieving key performance indicators for the Financial and Client Services team, reporting to a Senior Claims Payment Services Officer or Senior Client Services Officer.
Income Administration Role Overview
This role involves timely and accurate incapacity processing activities, including determining simple normal weekly earnings/hours, processing Claim for Time off Work forms, debt recovery, and payments for claimants.
You will undertake incapacity tasks within required timeframes, comply with procedures, and accurately record agency information.
This role contributes to key performance indicators for the Income Support team, reporting to a Senior Income Support Assessment Officer or equivalent.
