The Maitland Hospital Volunteers Inc. are seeking volunteers who would like to join our team and provide comfort to our patients and assist our staff.
We seek local community members to volunteer who are friendly and committed.
You may help inpatient comfort, or you may have administration skills to help with collating patient information.
There are some fundraising opportunities like raffles, lolly trolley and some small events and plenty of training opportunities.
You can enjoy the retail experience of working in the Pink Emporium where we sell premium baby wear to new parents and grandparents.
You will be talking to patients, their family and staff so good communication skills and lived experiences will help immensely.
This is a unique opportunity for you to meet new people, learn more about health, work with a great team, share your life knowledge and assist patients with their health experience.
You will need identification including a passport or birth certificate, a current Working with Children Check (volunteer) and will be asked to adhere to the Hunter New England Health Privacy and Code of Conduct.
A private meeting with staff health will be arranged to give you all the requirements to keep you safe and ensure our staff and patients are safe.
