About The Role
Research Assistant to support research and implementation activities within the Dementia Centre of Excellence.
Contribute to dementia risk reduction, public health, and healthy brain ageing, building capacity for research translation into practice and policy.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and prepare materials for research activities, experiments, fieldwork and workshops.
Liaise with research participants, project partners, and stakeholders to arrange activities.
Conduct experiments and contribute to data collection using appropriate methods and protocols.
Undertake literature reviews and preliminary data analysis.
Assist with preparing funding applications, research reports, presentations, and academic publications.
Support conference and workshop organisation.
Maintain research records and contribute to updating relevant databases.
Work collaboratively across the Dementia Centre of Excellence and perform other reasonable duties aligned with the position.
Selection Criteria
A relevant degree or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
Experience using scientific/research methods, techniques, and protocols.
Strong organisational skills, coordinating multiple tasks and prioritising effectively.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, including collating and analysing data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and liaison.
Competent use of word-processing and spreadsheet software to generate reports.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
