**The Role**

We are seeking people with diverse experience to help us grow our Career Transition Assistance (CTA) program. What is important, is that you are a committed and engaging facilitator who loves to mentor. Career Transition Assistance (CTA) is a program for mature-age participants aged 45 and over, providing practical assistance to increase employability and competitiveness in the local job market. But in reality, it's much more than that, it's about motivating, empowering and supporting people on their individual journey towards independence, employment and overall wellbeing. The Career Transition Assistance Facilitator is responsible for delivering CTA services in line with the Workforce Australia Career Transition Assistance Deed.

This role is **based in Caloundra **and currently **Part-time **and will be working around 15 hours per week, pattern of work to be negotiated.

As a Career Transition Assistance Facilitator, you will be delivering and administering engaging training and support services for all participants.

Your role will be to:

- Consult and assess applicants to determine their eligibility and suitability for the program
- Deliver face-to-face CTA program in a group training environment which fosters co-operation, engagement and contribution of participants
- Deliver one-on-one sessions and encourage self-directed learning in support of individual participants
- Support and motivate participants to identify their transferrable skills and experience and develop a comprehensive Career Plan to connect with the labour market
- Broadly promote the Maxima brand and CTA courses, with a view to generating participant referrals
- Build relationships with Workforce Australia (WFA) and Disability Employment Service (DES) providers in particular, promoting program benefits to generate referrals
- Develop key local relationships internally and externally (e.g. local Employers, local industry bodies such as the Business Chamber, Regional Council etc).
- Assist participants to look for work within the local labour market and to seek National Work Experience Placements
- Conduct participant assessments in line with the requirements of the CTA program
- Facilitate the CTA program in accordance with DEWR and Maxima expectations

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Experience in the delivery of group-based training for employment
- High level skills and demonstrated experience working with mature aged people
- A sound understanding of employability skills expected by employers
- Knowledge of the labour market, and vocational training requirements across industries
- Flexibility to work across locations if required
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and engagement abilities
- Agility to move to online delivery if and as required
- A recognised qualification in professional career development (desirable)
- Membership of an association that is a member of the Career Industry Council of Australia (desirable)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- National Criminal History Record Check (Police Clearance), NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check (or state equivalent) or able to pass clearance
- Evidence of approved ATAGI COVID Vaccinations, or a valid exemption as required from the relevant government health authority
- The ability to laugh and have fun whilst focusing on driving participants towards success
