About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Natural Areas Supervisor to lead and mentor a team in delivering high-quality rehabilitation and revegetation works. This hands‑on role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring all tools, equipment, and herbicides are safe, well‑maintained, and securely stored. One role is based on the Sunshine Coast and another role based in the Ipswich / Lockyer Valley region.
Key responsibilities include :
* Supervising and mentoring trainees and crew members
* Undertaking activities to deliver contract specifications and works program.
* Ensuring compliance with safety standards and raising concerns to management.
* Coordinating the ordering and delivery of plants and materials as needed.
* Maintaining accurate records, including timesheets, reports, and photographic monitoring points.
* Assisting in the development of site plans and species lists when applicable.
* Completing incident reporting and other tasks as required.

Essential
* Certificate III in Conservation and Land / Ecosystem Management (or a Certificate III in Horticulture combined with a relevant experience would be considered).
* Minimum three years experience in natural areas management, with a sound knowledge of integrated weed management, bush regeneration, revegetation, and native plants of Southeast Queensland.
* Minimum of one years experience in leading and supervising teams engaged in environmental works, with experience in quality control, WH&S procedures, environmental standards, delivering KPIs, report writing, and effectively communicating with landholders and key stakeholders.
* Senior First Aid & CPR.
* Chemical Distribution Licence.
* Construction White Card.
* Chainsaw Certificate level 1 minimum.
* Manual Class C Drivers License.
* An attitude of stewardship for the environment, and the natural assets of the SE Queensland region.
* A passion for supervising and training our future environmental field officers, with experience in providing and promoting a safe working and learning environment, with on-the-job training.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Physically fit, with a good work ethic
Desirable
* Diploma of Conservation and Land Management or equivalent.
* Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
