Financial Accountant - 12 Month FTC - Immediate Start
An exciting opportunity within a multinational industry-leading organisation currently exists to fill a key role in their finance team. This Financial Accountant position will assist in the management and communication of the company's accounting activities on a national scale. Initially, this role will commence as a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, but there is strong potential for extension or permanent placement.
Responsibilities
Reporting into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Month‑end closing including end‑of‑month journal posting, balance sheet accounts reconciliation, and monthly management reporting and analysis.
* Budgeting, forecasting & analysis.
* Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of financial/management accounting information at all times, consistent with general accounting standards, principles, and policies.
* Maintaining effective financial/management accounting controls and systems.
* Assisting Finance Business Partners, including general finance support to business units.
* Collating information for preparation of BAS, FBT, income tax and other returns, if required.
* Undertaking general ledger reconciliation, including bank account reconciliation.
* Performing all duties in accordance with company policies, processes, systems, and procedures.
Candidate requirements
Ideally, you will be a fully CA/CPA qualified accounting professional or studying towards qualification and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your ability to interact and engage cross‑functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have strong Microsoft Excel skills, experience working in a complex and high‑volume environment, and a positive "can‑do" work ethic.
