Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery.
We’re seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our outreach team, primarily supporting joint replacement patients in the Penrith area. This role involves working independently with patients who have acute and complex conditions, requiring substantial qualified initiative and judgment. You’ll help shape the service, provide clinical supervision to junior staff, and collaborate across teams to ensure patient care is delivered within professional, legal, and ethical boundaries, reflecting evidence-based best practices.

What You Will Bring To The Role
- Degree in Physiotherapy and current National Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA.
- Substantial postgraduate clinical experience and demonstrated high level of knowledge, skills and clinical experience in Orthopaedics and across a broad range of clinical areas
- Demonstrated high level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to independently problem-solve and apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to implement a new service, provide advice to service managers on Physiotherapy WH&S;, clinical service development, practice and design in response to demands and client / stakeholder needs.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and demonstrated knowledge of & experience with Quality Improvement & Evidence Based Practice
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
