About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled mechanical engineer to deliver project requirements according to agreed schedules consistent with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering project requirements according to agreed schedules consistent with Verbrec and client's quality standards
* Maintaining engineering standards across all projects
* Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and peers
* Recommending improvements to engineering systems and processes
* Continuously developing industry networks and contacts
* Working with our clients to help identify efficiency opportunities and reach decarbonisation targets
* Having an opinion, challenging the norm, and providing constructive feedback wherever possible
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in design of oil, gas and energy terminals or refining
* Proven Australian experience in oil and gas, mining, refining, terminal, tank farm or bulk fuel distribution
* A deep understanding of relevant design codes such as ASME B31.3, AS 4041, API 650, ASME VIII or AS 2885
* Experienced in pipe stress analysis (AutoPIPE or Caesar II)
* CPEng / RPEQ or equivalent, or near completion
* You are a great team player, with ability to work within or guide teams
* Ability to perform engineering tasks with minimal supervision
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering
