About The Role

As the Regulatory Engagement Specialist, you'll play a critical role at the centre of Australian Retirement Trust's engagement with key regulators including APRA, ASIC and AUSTRAC. This role is responsible for coordinating timely, high‐quality responses to regulatory enquiries while strengthening governance, documentation and internal collaboration. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts across the business to ensure regulatory interactions are consistent, accurate and well‐managed. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you'll help evolve processes, tools and ways of working to support a proactive compliance culture. This is a high‐impact opportunity to influence regulatory outcomes within one of Australia's largest superannuation funds.

Key Aspects Of The Role Include

* Coordinating end‐to‐end responses to regulatory notices, enquiries and information requests
* Acting as a central point of contact between the fund and external regulators
* Partnering with internal teams to gather, validate and review regulatory response material
* Maintaining a central register to track regulatory engagements, deadlines and outcomes
* Improving workflows, templates and tools to drive efficiency and consistency
* Ensuring regulatory responses meet governance, approval and documentation standards
* Supporting audits and reviews by providing evidence of regulatory engagement
* Preparing reports and insights for senior leaders and governance forums
* Coaching and supporting stakeholders involved in regulatory response activities

About You

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

* Significant experience in regulatory engagement within financial services, with confidence managing complex enquiries and information requests
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving capabilities, with the ability to assess issues and deliver well‐reasoned, high‐quality outcomes
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear, concise and professional engagement with regulators and stakeholders
* Collaborative approach to working with senior leaders and subject matter experts across the business
* Solid understanding of governance, documentation and quality assurance expectations in regulated environments
* An open‐minded mindset, bringing fresh ideas, new perspectives and a willingness to challenge and improve existing processes
* Adaptability and resilience to navigate change and evolving priorities in a transforming organisation
* Strong commitment to continuous learning, with a genuine interest in developing new skills and knowledge
* Organised, proactive working style with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
